Laptop not recognizing the board

Hey guys, I recently updated my mac and i don't know if there is anything related, but i can't put the code into my board anymore. Sometimes I can't click on the "make and program" bottom. When I do, I doesn't seem to detect any board connected to my computer.. You guys know any possible fix for this problem?

try using PICusb instead

 if your laptop can't recognize the board, buy a USB hub and use that to connect them
