I am having some trouble with my keypad.  I build my code, then use PICUSB to write the
hex file.  The busy light comes on, then when it turns off, I switch from PRG to RUN.
However, my keypad does not work at this point.  At one point in my code, I am prompted
to enter how many balls I want to dispense in Can1.  But when I press a key on the
keypad, it does not show up, and the program does not proceed.

However, if I switch back to PRG, turn the board OFF, turn it back ON, and switch to RUN,
the program runs as expected and the keypad is fully functional.

I thought it may be a problem with my code, but when I test the Keypad hex file from the
sample code given, the same issue arises.

This problem only started happening today.  Up until this point, I did not have this
problem.  I think it may be a problem with the keypad itself, but really I have no idea.
Any thoughts

Just a follow up on this.

I am the TA for this student and the problem was a burned PIC18. Luckily he was able to get it replaced on Monday and everything worked out well.

Wait. Is this Raihan? Or however it's spelt?

I'm not a TA. Maybe it's an issue, but if the board works after you reset it, I don't think it's a big deal. If you have to actually switch back to PRG before you turn it off and on through, it does sound strange, and I don't see how it could possibly have to do with the code.

Good luck with that on Wednesday.

could you bring the board to the lab session on Wed so i can take a look to see if it is a problem with the board itself? although i don't suspect that since the board does program correctly and the busy light turns off. Look for me at the beginning of the lab, otherwise i would be busy doing individual eva.
