This kit is for the later model tripod mounted shifter transmissions from the JZZ30 Soarer and JZX100 Chaser with two 3pc synchros. This rebuild kit is NOT for the US MK3 Supra R154. This patch harness uses IP-rated Deutsch DTM series connectors to adapt the factory auto shifter and reverse functions to suit an R154 gearbox swap with a factory automatic ECU and body loom. Start A and Start B positions are bridged to allow starting and running. These are the newer JZX100 version of the R154 from Japan that has 3pc synchros, and the main shift rails inside have ball bearings for smoother operation. These transmissions are the right shifter length to swap into an SC300, SC400, GS300, GS400, and MK4 Supra. With a little trimming around the shifter opening in the floor we have seen these $140+ shipping, $70 for CANverter and $70 for ATEMU but only needed for using an auto ECU with a manual car. Not needed if you are running a standalone though. How difficult was it to hook it all up? In theory, a JZX110 manual ECU would make the swap 100% functional, but I have never found a manual JZX110 swap. Any pics or specifics on this part would be most helpful. The ECU slides right in to where the ECU goes. This is a JZX110 swap, not JZX100 which mounts the ECU in the interior. If you're doing a 5 speed swap on your JZX90 or 100 chassis, you're going to need one of these!
