Placing your subroutines

A dumb question
Do I understand it correctly that for PIC18 you need to write a subroutine above the call?

Don't believe so? Mine seems to work without any regard to the order. Could totally be wrong, though.

I'm using the 16 but in general I think macros need to be before the call but subroutines don't.

subroutines can be anywhere after "code"

I don't think there's any requirement. I've got stuff scattered all over the place (and across multiple files), and everything works fine
