Hey guys, I lost my micro-controller partner right after the proposal, so right now I pretty much need to finish the subsystem from scratch. I was just wondering if anyone uses a 10-step bipolar stepper motor. I had a lot of trouble finding a firing sequence for it. Any other tips or help to drive this motor would be awesome too.
Also just a heads up that i'll be probably very annoying the next few weeks bombarding you guys with questions.

I am using a Bipolar motor (not sure what you mean by a 10-step one?). Are you trying to write code to drive it? If so, you are simply writing code to blink 4 different LED lights - in reality, each blink sends a pulse and you need 4 pulses for 1 step. Then you need to control the speed of this blinking (control speed of rotation) and how many blinks you send (amount you rotate it)
So figure out how to blink an LED and a delay loop or timer loop and the rest will fall in place
can you also tell us the frequency at which we energize the coils or in other words the frequency of the firing sequence
that would probably depend on how fast you want the motor to turn
I meant the motor runs smoothly at certain frequencies but gives a jerky motion in others
Hmm;yeah it's a good range though; you can try using the motor driver board to figure out the upper and lower limits and just use that
